Bodrum is located on the peninsula of the same name, close to the northwest entrance to the Gulf of Gökova and facing the Greek island of Kos.

Bodrum’s attractive coast and exuberant nightlife make it a very popular sailing and tourist resort.

Marmaris is an important natural harbour and, thanks to its position at the point at which the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas meet, a leading tourist destination. The Gulf of Gökova lies to its north, the Mediterranean to its south, the Datca peninsula to its west and Lake Koycegiz to its east.


Boasting two large marinas and a number of smaller ones, Marmaris is a major sailing resort that enjoys great popularity in winter. A ferry service provides transport to the Greek island of Rhodes.



Situated in the heart of the city, the Marmaris Netsel Marina has space for 720 boats. It also has water, electricity, telephones, internet, a parking area, a medical service, a restaurant, a taxi service and vehicle hire. The closest airport is that of Dalaman, some 90 km from the marina.

Göcek lies in the middle of the Gulf of Fethiye at the foot of the mountains from which one has a view over 12 of the bay’s islands. Göcek is home to four important sports ports, all offering services to the tourist yachts in the area. One outstanding characteristic of the city is its position in regard to the ports and the coves, which are all situated in a great nearby bay. Thanks to this position it has great potential as a tourist yacht harbour. Göcek has all the necessary infrastructures, capacity and space one could hope for in a tourist centre, and furthermore is renowned for the peace and quiet it offers in relation to other tourist centres.

Göcek is a peaceful and safe harbour, especially for long distance travellers arriving from international waters. Göcek’s coves and its 12 islands are like a hidden paradise, with the clear Mediterranean waters, the green pine woods, and the beaches all helping to make Göcek an indispensable destination for seafarers.

The Gulf of Fethiye, and the port of Göcek offer the perfect starting point for visiting places of cultural interest such as Caunos, Telmessos, the Fethiye Museum, Tlos, Pınara, Letoon, Xanthos and Patara. Here there are many restaurants, cafés and bars along the front. The Mediterranean climate here has warm, dry summers, and the waters are perfect for sailing all year round.
