The winters are temperate and the summers very hot, while the waters are ideal for sailing.

Its streets are bustling and elegant with prestigious local companies and restaurants that delights with sea snacks as traditional Sardinian recipes and served along with delicious wines of the "isola". Also the surroundings of this city offer extraordinary stretches of coastline which are worth being seen from a rented boat in Olbia. Water intense pure blue veins parading in different shades and in contrast to the white sands of the shore. Among its most famous beaches are Bados, ideal for children, Pittulongu, with the finest sand and Le Saline, adored by surfers.
