What does hiring a skipper entail?

The skipper is the ultimate authority on the sailing boat. He is in charge of making the trip a pleasant one and navigating the vessel to the best coves and anchoring in the most suitable areas. He is also in charge of taking passengers to land in the auxiliary boat and watching over your safety.

The skipper will also propose an itinerary keeping in mind your preferences as well as the forecasted weather conditions for the charter period of the sailing boat. However, shopping for provisions, cleaning the boat and preparing meals are not part of his duties. The base is in charge of hiring the skipper and you will need to pay an additional fee for this service on the day of boarding. In addition, you will be responsible for covering his keep during the entire trip.
