Twenty kilometres of coastline, solitary beaches and those with sporting and gaming activities, hidden away and secluded, or large and majestic, the beaches of the Autonomous Region of Valencia are among the best beaches in Spain. Here are hundreds of kilometres of Mediterranean coast to enjoy unforgettable holidays in the beaches of Alicante in Costa Blanca, the beaches of Benidorm, Valencia or the beaches of Castellon, the Costa Azahar.

The coastal beauty and the mild temperatures make of the Autonomous Region of Valencia a paradise for the lovers of nautical activities in all their forms, sporting or leisure. So this is the perfect destination for nautical sports, with one of the best regatta courses in Europe, and the most important and active ports in the Mediterranean, as is shown by Valencia’s election as the host city for the Americas Cup in 2007.

Beyond Paella and rice dishes, which are always in the limelight, a multitude of other dishes, as delicious as they are little known, are lingering. Rustic or urban recipes that have come down through time from the wisdom of the local people spring to light, as do delicious formulas, some of which date from time immemorial.
Apart from this little port, Dénia possesses two larger sports harbours which can handle bigger boats: the Nautical Club, which can take vessels of up to 20 metres, and the La Marina Sports Club with a capacity for vessels of up to 60 metres. Both are in another zone, towards Rotas in the south of the city.
Dénia welcomes one with the warmth of its climate, with an annual average of 19ºC. According to a study by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Levantine coast, where we find Denia, is one of the healthiest in the world.
