St. Vicent is an island of volcanic origin. The Soufriere volcano (1,234 m) last erupted in 1979. It is the largest and most populated island of the archipelago.
The other islands, the Grenadines, only occupy 44 square kilometers, and among them are Bequia, Canouan, Mustique, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays, Little St. Vicent, Battowia, Balicaeux, Palm Island, Prune and Union Island. They are thirty-two small islands, many of them uninhabited, that are in the arc south of St. Vicent, with great scenery and picturesque places to visit, all of incredible natural beauty. In St. Vincent you will find the Falls of Trinidad, three waterfalls of 12 meters high that fall into a whirlwind worthy visiting, the Falls of Baleine, 18 meters high offering a spectacle for tourists, and another place you cannot miss is the Laguna Salada in Owia also on St. Vincent.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines are one of the last refuges that still exist.
