St. Vicent is an island of volcanic origin. The Soufriere volcano (1,234 m) last erupted in 1979. It is the largest and most populated island of the archipelago.
The other islands, the Grenadines, only occupy 44 square kilometers, and among them are Bequia, Canouan, Mustique, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays, Little St. Vicent, Battowia, Balicaeux, Palm Island, Prune and Union Island. They are thirty-two small islands, many of them uninhabited, that are in the arc south of St. Vicent, with great scenery and picturesque places to visit, all of incredible natural beauty. In St. Vincent you will find the Falls of Trinidad, three waterfalls of 12 meters high that fall into a whirlwind worthy visiting, the Falls of Baleine, 18 meters high offering a spectacle for tourists, and another place you cannot miss is the Laguna Salada in Owia also on St. Vincent.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines are one of the last refuges that still exist.

Ajaccio is the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, the biggest town in Corsica and the capital of southern Corsica.
It is a prosperous harbour town. An impressive wooded strand in which both tourists and locals take the air lines a part of its splendid bay.
From this strand in the direction of the town centre runs a labyrinth of tiny streets, which wind up in the main square where the daily market offers local products such as cheese (the famous Brocciu), wine, cakes and liqueurs. Corsican wines are full-bodied and richly coloured as the island itself. The food is excellent: sausages, smoked hams, and Italian-style salamis. Wild pig, lamb and goat meat are also very popular, and seafood and fish abound. Cheese and plates prepared with sweet chestnuts are among the various specialities.
In the southernmost corner of Corsica lies Bonifacio, the jewel of Corsica. From the heights of the cliffs Bonifacio has defied gravity for more than a thousand years, and is unique as much for its history as for its extraordinary geographical position.
We can divide the city in two parts: one lower, which corresponds to the marina or the harbour zone, and another higher, where one finds the citadel, which is constructed on a white limestone rock, surrounded by a sea of intense turquoise, from which one can see Sardinia and the Straits of Bonifacio which separate the two islands.
These days, Bonifacio enters into the plans of many tourists, but its remains are intact. Sometimes referred to as the “City on the Cliffs”, traces of the antique buildings can be found in the fortified walls of the citadel. The lighthouse at Timon point shows the entry into Bonifacio harbour from the sea. There are bars and restaurant terraces, ice-cream salesmen and boutiques, all welcoming the visitors in this enchanting spot where the waves lap against the quays.
Bonifacio is the perfect place to visit, to look around its incredible natural environment and explore its delights, enjoying the views, its beaches, and the possibilities offered by this part of Corsica for water sports, especially those concerned with sailing.

Читать меньшеSt. Lucia is a small country located north of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and south of the island of Martinique in the Caribbean Sea. It is a member of the Caribbean Community, the Organization of American States and the British Commonwealth of Nations.
This island is of volcanic formation. It is crossed by a mountain range, from north to south. The tallest mountain is Mount Gimie of 959 meters. To the south there is the volcano Qualibou that pours sulphurous fumes and hot springs which are an attraction for visitors, besides producing geothermal energy.
Among the nicest places that can be visited on the island, there is the hill of Monte Fortune, from where you can see the panorama of the city port, the landscapes of the island and the Caribbean Sea in all its beauty, as well as the Falls of Diamond falling from 304 meters from the volcano, where the temperature is 41 º C. You can also visit the natural reserves and mangroves. Sea turtles spawn on the island between March and August.
The landscape of Grenada is one of the most beautiful and diverse environments in the Caribbean, including crater lakes as well as an amazing variety of plant and animal life. Known as the “Isle of Spice”, Grenada is located at the southern end of the Windward Islands, only 100 miles north of Venezuela, and it is bordered by stunning beaches and dotted with picturesque towns.
The capital, St. George', is widely held to be the loveliest city in the Caribbean. Its horseshoe-shaped harbour is surrounded by pastel rainbow coloured dockside warehouses and the red-tiled roofs of traditional shops and homes. Set sail for sister island Carriacou with its beaches of fine sand and natural harbours and you are near the heart of the Grenadines.
Grenada offers many types of yacht charter such as bareboat or skippered, crewed yacht charter, catamaran, sailboat and luxury yachts.
Mr. Hartman Bay Marina is only a 15-minute taxi ride from Port Salines International Airport. Consider staying a few extra days here. February through September are the best months for a one-way sail through the unspoiled Grenadines to St. Lucia.
If you like diving, you would love the colourful coral gardens and numerous wrecks. Many hotels offer scuba diving facilities and snorkelling equipment and there are a number of independent dive centres offering short boat dives, night dives and a variety of scuba courses. The Northern Islands and natural parks offer some groovy underwater haunts just waiting to be explored.
Union Island is the southernmost island of the Grenadines belonging to the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines It is situated 90 kilometers southwest of Barbados and the islands of Carriacou and the mainland of Grenada can be seen to the south. Clifton and Ashton are the two principal towns. The island is home to approximately 3,000 residents. The official language is English, but French and German are spoken by some merchants in Clifton as well. The island has an international airport which has domestic flights to Saint Vincent and some of the Grenadines and international flights to Barbados, Carriacou, Grenada and Martinique.
Airlines flying into Union Island are not IATA members and itineraries will not be visible to more non-regional travel agents - visitors interested in travel to the islands will need to contact the airlines directly or contact a local travel agency. The island is approximately 3 miles long and 1 mile wide. Surrounding islands are Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Palm Island, and Petit Saint Vincent. The highest peak is Mount Parnassus - 900 feet above sea level.
Union Island has a semi-arid climate. During the dry season, December/January through June, the only source of water on the island is the water stored during the rainy season (June-December). Today the yacht services business and tourist day-chartering business provides a lot of jobs, there are numerous boutiques and supermarkets, bars and restaurants, internet cafes and a dive operator. There is a "cruiser's network" operated by volunteers for the yachting community providing information for visiting boaters; the network operates on VHF channel 68, Monday through Saturday, at 09h00.Information given on the cruiser's net includes: local navigational issues, daily weather reports (including hurricane watch), customs and immigration rules and regulations, cultural activities, commercial announcements and other matters raised by Cruiser's Net participants.
A key feature of the Union Island region is the Tobago Cays National Marine Park. The Tobago Cays are a group of small uninhabited islands surrounded by reefs – snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming with the sea turtles are all favourite pastimes of visitors. Entry to the park (for visitors) costs EC$10/person/day – park fees can be paid in Clifton at the Custom's Offices, the Tobago Cays Marine Park office at the waterfront, or in the park itself from park rangers.
