Meet our team: Fanny Peralta, Charter Broker

 title=

Here we are for another week introducing everyone who is part of our wonderful team. And this time it's her turn. She is with us for a while and she will love to attend you.

1. When and how was your first experience in the world of sailing?

I started with day trips and short sailings along the Costa Brava.

2. Finish the sentence: NAVIGATION FOR ME IS...

Freedom.

3. If you had your own boat, what would you call it and why?

"Tramuntana", the name of a very characteristic wind of the Costa Brava. So that I never lack the push of the wind while sailing.

4. Which trip have you enjoyed the most and why?

In Greece. We did some of the Cyclades islands and then crossed into the Saronic Gulf. It was spectacular! I think one of the best experiences. Not only to see new places, but because the sailing was "amazing", with a lot of contrast because we found very windy days in the Cyclades and super calm sailing in the Saronic. I think everyone should try it at least once in their life.

5. What is the moment or time you like the most during each trip?

For me, sailing time is the best time. The feeling of freedom is unique.

6. Can you tell us about any big scare you've had while sailing?

Luckily, I have never had any scares. I have always sailed with people with a lot of experience. Just some delicate moments due to weather conditions.

7. And any anecdote that you remember and want to share?

One afternoon, when the catamaran anchored in Serifos, we got on the dinghy (the semi-rigid auxiliary boat) to approach land, go around and have dinner. When we returned with the dinghy back to the boat, it was very curious because anchovies began to jump on the boat. And it wasn't one or two, no. Imagine how many jumped that, upon arriving at the "tasting", we collected them all and prepared them as an appetizer for the next day. It was a very fun moment!

8. What is the most important learning you have learned from your entire experience at sea?

The sea is wonderful, but you should never lose respect for it. Perhaps this would be my greatest learning. As long as you stay in your place, respecting the environment and knowing how to adapt to circumstances, everything will be fine.

9. What destination do you plan to go to next?

Türkiye, the Fethiye area, because I think it is a great destination to visit with the family.

10. Lastly, any advice to give to someone who has never surfed?

At first, I didn't like it very much, because I get dizzy and I was a little afraid of being on the boat for so long. But it was only enough for me to try it once. It truly was one of the best vacations I have ever spent. As advice, I would tell you to lose your fears. Really, it is worth living the experience. There is nothing comparable to those sunsets or sunrises on board, sailing without any other worry. It's great!
