Valencia - Cala de Binirras - San Antonio - Isla de Espalmador - Formentera - Ibiza - Valencia
This nautical itinerary through Valencia and Ibiza that we propose will allow you to enjoy two of the great beauties of the Mediterranean coast. Starting on our rental boat from one of the most important cities in Spain and which has undergone a major conversion to the epicenter of international tourism. Ready to start a magical journey?
If there is a city that has managed to combine modernity with traditions without losing an iota of authenticity, that is Valencia. With thousands of attractions to delight in, enjoy the crossbreeding of the avant-garde of the City of Arts and Sciences, whose architecture is an emblem, and the traditional fishing district of Cabanyal before leaving on our charter boat for Ibiza, It will leave the navigator in love and it will be difficult for him to leave behind this wonderful city, which also has an intangible and very famous value: its light. There is no light like the Valencian one that makes savoring a delicious paella –or any rice dish- and walking through its historic center an unforgettable experience.
To try not to feel nostalgic for Valencia, the first stop in Ibiza must be made at Cala Binirrás. Famous for its sunsets, this small bay with thick sand and rocky bottoms, is located in the north and is perfect for mooring our sailboat and savoring a romantic sunset with the sound of the drums in the background that characterize the party that is usually held. Sundays thanks to the hippie atmosphere that has settled in the area. A whole ritual on the island that you have to experience once in a lifetime.
And from mysticism to the most extreme party in one leap. San Antonio has become the quintessential party city. Thousands of foreign tourists travel to this Ibiza town to experience the nightlife that animates its streets and leaves scenes of the most varied nature. The party has undoubtedly become one of the attractions of Ibiza and of course, they do not have to tell you.
But not everything is partying in San Antonio. In its surroundings there are coves that are beautiful and whose turquoise waters inevitably invite you to take a dip. Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta are some of them, but be sure to research and visit the San Antonio coast to find your favorite.
The next stop is perhaps one of the most magical there is. From Ibiza we jump to Espalmador, a tiny virgin island that makes anyone who visits it fall in love. It is privately owned but can be accessed without problems. It has no construction and that makes it more wonderful. Turquoise waters that are the very paradise and a peace that is capable of transporting you to another world, Espalmador is part of the Pitiusas and it is inevitable to anchor the sailboat, yacht or catamaran for hire to dive into its waters and enjoy its seabed and the white sand of its beaches.
Swimming and sunbathing on a completely virgin island is a real dream and to preserve it you have to take into account that there are very strict environmental laws that protect Espalmador. It is a privileged place and for this reason the fauna has made this island its home. If you decide to go into it, keep in mind that mud baths in the mud of its salt mines are totally prohibited. A tip: make sure you go well stocked with supplies to spend the day because, as we have previously mentioned, there is no type of construction in it: neither shops nor beach bars.
This Espalmador-Formentera route takes us from one paradise to another. Formentera is one of the jewels of the Mediterranean that has been best preserved. Together with Ibiza they make up the so-called Pitiusas islands and if you visit one of them, you almost have to go to the other, so do not hesitate. Formentera has the best beaches in the world, so bathing in them is a pleasure. Migjorn, Cala Saona, Ses Illetes ... impossible to choose! But it is not the only charm of the island, any of its small towns and Sant Francesc, the capital, are worth a visit. Will you be able to not think about staying there forever?
Back to the other Pitiusa to jump to the peninsula where we will return the rental boat, we have the opportunity to visit the city of Ibiza. Be sure to visit Dalt Vila, the old town of the capital that is on Mount Puig de Vila and which is a World Heritage Site. Its characteristic shops, the promenade and the terraces where you can enjoy a delicious cocktail with views of the port make it more difficult to want to return from this wonderful island.
